1. Commitment
East Staffordshire Primary Care Partnership Ltd is committed to achieving Net Zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 in line with the UK Government’s target and will work to reach this goal sooner where possible.
2. Scope
This commitment covers Scope 1, Scope 2, and relevant Scope 3 emissions as defined by the Greenhouse Gas Protocol, including:
• Scope 1: Direct emissions from owned or controlled sources.
• Scope 2: Indirect emissions from purchased electricity, heat, and steam.
• Scope 3: Indirect emissions from our value chain, including business travel, waste, and supply chain activities.
3. Reduction Measures
To achieve Net Zero, we will:
• Improve energy efficiency across operations.
• Transition to renewable energy sources.
• Reduce business travel emissions through virtual collaboration.
• Engage suppliers to lower supply chain emissions.
• Implement waste reduction and circular economy practices.
